BMW 3200cs was based on the underpinnings of the BMW 502 sedan model, also this model used the same 3169cc V8 engine. First launched at the 1961 Frankfurt Motorshow, BMW 3200cs was planned as a transition model. Production started in 1962 and lasted until 1965, with 603 cars produced, and one-off BMW 3200cs convertible.
