Few words & BMW 5 series E60 links:

The BMW e60 5 series was introduced to the American market in 2004. From the bold exterior to the sophisticated interior, the style of the new 5 series is clearly inspired from the e65 bmw 7 series. The e39 dash is derived from the e65 7 series, featuring a center positioned control display which displays controls such as audio and navigation, and a second generation iDrive mounted directly behind the manual or automatic gearbox.
One of the most interesting designs added to the new BMW 5 series is AFS. AFS, or Active Front Steering, varies the ratio of steering at different speeds. Active Front Steering ratio range varies from 10-1 to 20-1. This variable steering ratio is not only factors into safety; you would really be able to notice AFS on the race track. This technology currently can only be found on the 5-series models.
