Few words & links:

BMW 5 series E34 was all-new vehicle: it had longer wheelbase, all-new suspension, more room for passengers and were easier in repair and maintenance (compared with the E28).
Front and independent multilink rear suspension were taken from 1988 BMW 7 series E32 sedan, just as many other technical components. Thus, BMW E34 featured all qualities of the 7 series E32 and acquired impressive driving dynamics of 3 series with large range of offered engines.
